Featured Faculty: LesLee Taylor, PhD, LAT, ATC Dr. Taylor is an associate professor and the founding program director for the University of Kansas (KU) master's degree program in athletic training. She also serves as the vice chair of KU's Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training, and was appointed assistant dean for academic and faculty affairs for the School of Health Professions in January 2024. Prior to joining KU in 2020, she led the athletic training program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she developed one of the first professional master's degree programs in the country. Dr. Taylor's clinical experience spans collegiate and high school athletics, private practice, and international tennis organizations. A recipient of multiple honors, including the National Athletic Trainers' Association Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award, her research focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion, leadership, and program development. She is a recognized leader in athletic training education and actively contributes to scholarly publications and organizations.
